The Sunshine State Towing Association welcomes Fred Dickinson from Poole and McKinley.
After an exhaustive interview process with several prominent State Representative firms, the executive board of the SSTA voted and selected the firm Poole and McKinley and is lead by Fred Dickinson is the their transportation division leader.
It is the boards belief that his many years as the Executive Director for the Florida Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles, Mr Dickinson brings a unique perspective establishing and accomplishing the SSTA's long term goals in the State of Florida.
Fred Dickinson joined PooleMcKinley as a Vice President in the Tallahassee office. He brings with him 20-plus years of experience in the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles, where he served as Executive Director. During his time as Executive Director, Fred worked for seven governors and managed a budget which grew to $500 million. Fred was also responsible for 5,000 employees, including the state's largest law enforcement contingent, the Florida Highway Patrol, which has more than 2,000 men and women. Fred transitioned the agency through several IT overhauls, resulting in Florida being recognized for its delivery of services throughout the nation.
As a result of his time working for the State, Fred has a vast understanding of statewide agencies in Florida and has built relationships at all levels of government. Before joining the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles, Fred spent four years practicing law. Prior to that, Fred spent two years with the Associated Industries of Florida.
Fred holds a B.A. in Government from Wofford College in Spartanburg, South Carolina and a JD from the Florida State University College of Law.
